From a young age, Crystal Laine delighted in expressing herself through music. Whether this meant singing in children’s choirs to playing clarinet in the marching band, participating in youth choir competitions to gluing herself to the piano until she learned something – music “chose” her. This diverse perspective has helped her over the years as she has been developing her music and cultivating her gift to be able to share it when the time was right. That time is now.

In a time when hopelessness is overwhelming people, when skepticism is crowding out faith, and where love without reservation is rare, Crystal Laine brings Hope. Of course, she doesn’t produce Hope, but simply passes it on one song at a time.

She doesn’t believe this from reading a book. Crystal Laine has faced her own seasons of hopelessness.

“Because of parents who taught me the value of generosity, I realized early on that anything I keep for myself decays before my own eyes. In order to bring life to anything, you have to cultivate it, and that includes any gift we have been given. As this gift of music is developed in me, I can’t help but share the overflow of its fruit with others – the hope, love, and encouragement I have received must be passed on. There’s just no other option for me.”
Crystal Laine has written most of her own music, but greatly enjoys sharing that process with other artists. Her main goal is to glorify God by sharing the Hope she has found through her own journeys of struggle and victory to a very hurting world. While her focus is currently in piano, she is a mostly God-taught musician and has been known to play on the guitar, clarinet, and marimba in her years of musical enthusiasm.
Her smooth, gentle vocals and soul-infused melodies are fashioned to bring listeners to a place of peace, authenticity, and focus on the source of all Hope – Jesus Christ. Friends and fans alike can find richness in the raw truth shared through her songs, displaying a Biblical and practical perspective on the character of God in the midst of real life scenarios.
